Terms of use

Wording of 1 October 2026 · Draft version 2026-09-draft-1

This is a draft It is published so that it can be read and commented on. It binds nobody yet, and it may still change.

The app is not open yet. Before it opens, these terms are written in Finnish, read by a lawyer, and given a version; the Finnish text is then the one that counts.

1. What this is

Kuutti is a service for meeting people, run by Kuutti ry (business ID 3659478-7), a non-profit association in Espoo, Finland (“the association”). These terms are the agreement between you and the association about your use of it.

2. What the association promises

3. Who can use Kuutti

4. What you promise

5. Your content

What you write and the photos you upload stay yours. You give the association the right to keep them and to show them to other people who use Kuutti, for as long as they are in the service, and for nothing else. The right ends when you delete the content or your account.

Photos are checked before they are shown to anybody. A photo can be rejected; you are told why, and you can upload another.

6. If something is wrong

You can report a person or a photo in the app. Moderators are volunteers of the association; they see what was reported and what they need to decide, and what they do is recorded.

7. Closing an account

The association can remove content, suspend an account or close it when these terms are broken. A ban concerns the person, not the account: somebody who was banned cannot make a new account.

You are told when that happens, and why. How a decision is appealed is added here before the app opens.

You can delete your account at any time, in the app. A new account is possible 30 days after the deletion. See Deleting your account.

8. What the association does not promise

Kuutti is made by volunteers and offered as it is. The association does its best to keep it working and safe, and it cannot promise that it always works, that you meet somebody, or that everybody you meet is who you hoped for. Every account belongs to an identified adult; what that person says about themselves is theirs to answer for.

When you meet somebody, take the care you would take with any stranger.

Nothing in these terms takes away a right that the law gives you as a consumer.

9. Changes

Every wording of these terms has a version and a date. When the terms change, the app shows you the new text and asks whether you agree. If you do not, you can delete your account.

10. Law and disputes

Finnish law applies to these terms. If you and the association disagree and cannot settle it, you can take the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board, kuluttajariita.fi, or to the district court of your home.
